I recently explored some of Florida’s lesser known destinations with 3 other photographers for the adventure of a lifetime. Many people go to Florida for its beautiful beaches or world renowned amusement parks, but we were on a mission to find the best adventures in Ocala & Marion County, Fort Lauderdale, and Martin County. Over the course of 5 days, we discovered that there was definitely no shortage of adventures here. Where do I even begin?!
We had a total of 5 days to get in as much adventure as we could. We jumped right into the adventures and visited Rainbow Springs where we paddled in clear bottom kayaks in some of the bluest waters I’ve ever seen. There’s also a variety of other activities I wasn’t expecting to do like horseback riding and zip-lining on an epic course. We participated in every water sport you could imagine from stand up paddle boarding for sunset to surfing in the warm ocean. There was never a dull moment during our time in Florida.
In addition to all the epic activities it had to offer, Florida had so many different landscapes for us to photograph. There were so many parts of Florida we visited with lush greenery and an abundance of beautiful sunrises and sunsets. One other thing that surprised me was the amazing selection of food in Florida. For me, eating well is one of the most important parts of traveling and really enhances my experience. If you’re looking for the trip of a lifetime, you can definitely find it in Florida.
